Fixed-term contracts are allowed for up to 5 years. Workers who continue to work after 5 years will be deemed to be on an indefinite contract.

In Egypt, it is legally obligatory to conclude an employment contract in three copies and written in Arabic. The contract should describe the terms of the employee’s compensation, benefits, and termination requirements. A letter of offer and employment contract at EOR Egypt must always state the salary and any compensation amount in Egyptian pounds rather than foreign currency.
